Testosterone Propionate (TP) for intramuscular injection, contains Testosterone Propionate which is the oil-soluble 4-androstene-3-one,17beta-ol of the androgenic hormone testosterone. Testosterone propionate is attached to a short ester and so 100mg of Testosterone Propionate contains 83.72mg of testosterone which is more testosterone than in any other ester-based testosterone preparation of equivalent overall dosage.
Testosterone Propionate is used in males to treat primary hypogonadism (congenital or acquired) testicular failure due to cryptorchidism, bilateral torsion, orchitis, vanishing testis syndrome or orchiectomy. Testosterone propionate converts into oestrogen and DHT and so a good anti-estrogen is recommended when using this compound.
