Ferrovet 100 is an Iron dextran injectable solution for the treatment and prevention of anemia in swine
COMPOSITION:
Iron (Dextran) 100 mg
Excipient q.s. 1 ml
INDICATIONS: Prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia in newborn piglets.
TARGET SPECIES: Swine.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE: Deep intramuscular route.
POSOLOGY:
Newborn piglets:
Prevention: between the 1-4 days of life, administer 1 – 1, 5 ml per animal, in a single dose. Repeat at 2 weeks of age, if necessary.
Treatment: 1 – 2 ml in a single dose. Repeat in 10 – 15 days, if necessary. Disinfect the injection site. Continue treatment for 1 or 2 days after symptoms have disappeared.
WITHDRAWAL PERIODS: Not applicable
SHELF-LIFE: 3 years from production date.
COMMERCIAL PRESENTATION: 100ml and clinical package 30 x 100 ml.
