Description
Ketamina 100 is a general anesthetic for use alone or as an inducer of general anesthesia with inhalation agents. Ketamine is a fast-acting general anesthetic with significant analgesic action and absence of depressant effects on the cardiorespiratory system. It inhibits the transmission of impulses through the reticular system, which prevents their arrival at the cerebral cortex. This induces a level of anesthesia of grade I and II but not state III. In felines it induces a small hypothermia with a decrease in temperature of the order of 1.5 to 1.7°C after a therapeutic dose.
