Naquadem Solution 20ml

Naquadem solution for injection is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the equine while in Bovine Naquasone injectable solution is indicated for the treatment of physiologic parturient edema of the mammary gland and associated structures of cattle. Green Speed 60ml

 

Indications for use and target species

In cattle, horses and pigs:
– Treatment of edema.

 

Composition

One ml contains:

Active substance(s):

Dexamethasone ……………..(as acetate) 0.5 mg
Trichlormethiazide …………… 10.0 mg

Excipient(s):

Butylated hydroxytoluene (E321) ………. 0.1 mg
Butylhydroxyanisole (E320) ………… 0.2 mg
Benzyl alcohol (E1519) ……….. 10.0 mg

 

Dosage and Administration

Intramuscular route.

Equines: 0.01 to 0.02 mg of dexamethasone and 0.2 to 0.4 mg of trichlormethiazide per kg of body weight per day for 3 days, according to the following protocol

Bovines: -1st intervention: 4 ml per 100 kg of body weight -2nd and 3rd interventions (respectively 12 and 36 hours after the 1st ) : 2 ml per 100 kg of body weight

Pigs: -1st intervention: 1 ml per 25 kg of body weight -2nd and 3rd interventions (respectively 12 and 36 hours after the 1st ) : 0.5 ml per 25 kg of body weight

Contraindications

Do not use Naquadem Solution 20ml in diabetes, severe heart failure, chronic renal failure with uremic syndrome or hypercorticism.

Special precautions for use in animals

In the event of associated bacterial infection, appropriate antibiotic therapy should be instituted.
Use with caution in growing animals.
Long-term treatment should be discontinued gradually by progressively reducing the dosage.
Administration of corticosteroids at the end of gestation may result in premature parturition or abortion in ruminants. Royal Energy 50ml
