FLU JOINT – 15 ML(or Flu joint) is an anti-inflammatory steroid for intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous and intra-articular application indicated for all cases that corticosteroid therapy is recommended in cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats.
Flumethasone: 0.5 mg
Vehicle c.s.p .: 1 ml.
The use of a corticosteroid (eg flumethasone) in combination with antibacterial therapy produces faster results in the fight against bacterial infections. Used initially in the United States and France, this combination is widely used worldwide. Inflammation is known to be one of the animal’s defense against infection. It is a defense action that tends to isolate or encapsulate the focus of the rest of the body.
In the meantime, this process blocks the penetration of antibiotics into the area of infection. Flumethasone reduces inflammation, thereby allowing antibiotics to reach the area of infection more quickly and effectively. With regard to hydrocortisone, it has a gluconeogenic action 700 times more potent and a anti-inflammatory action 120 times more potent.
Flu joint solution for injection is indicated as a basic treatment or adjuvant (associated with specific therapies) in all cases in which the organism is subjected to a strong need in inflammatory processes and in bacterial infections such as:
A) Infections: As supportive therapy in pneumonia, metritis, mastitis, hemorrhagic septicemia, puerperal complications, peritonitis, papera, rheumatic infections, pododermatitis and bacterial affections in general, provided there is concomitant antibacterial therapy.
B) Inflammatory states: Joint inflammations, tendinitis, bursitis and myositis (where there are no permanent structural changes). Dermatosis and prophylaxis of peritoneal adhesions.
C) Allergic Conditions: Urticaria, allergic eczema, acute pulmonary emphysema of cattle, generalized pruritus, dermatosis and dermatitis.
D) Toxemias, Poisoning, etc .: Insect bites and intoxications. As support therapy in accidents with venomous animals.
